Canadian Club Spareribs
Portions: 4 Preparation: 10 minutes Cooking: - boil meat 45 to 60 minutes - BBQ medium high heat 10 minutes |

Ingredients :
- 3 pounds (1.3 kg) pork spareribs
- 1 medium-sized onion cut into 8 pieces
- 2 garlic cloves, cut into halves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) salt
- 1 tsp (5 mL) peppercorns
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Canadian Club barbecue sauce, flavour of choice
- Canadian Club BBQ sauce served as dipping sauce
Preparation :
- Remove excess fat from ribs and cut into 4 pieces.
- Place in a saucepan, fill with cold water and add all ingredients, except Canadian Club sauce. Bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer over medium heat for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Preheat the barbecue according to the temperatures indicated above.
- Remove spareribs from broth, brush with half the sauce on each side and put them on the barbecue.
- Cook meat for about 10 minutes, turn meat halfway through cooking and brush again with the remaining sauce.
- Serve immediately with Canadian Club sauce.
