Lassonde Specialties inc. began its great adventure many years ago with the creation of the first processing plant in St-Damase, known as Coopérative de conserves de Saint-Damase.



The St-Damase canned goods cooperative, now known as Produits Ronald Ltée, profits from the quality of the soils in this region which are very suitable for growing corn. And so begins the processing of (sweet) corn on the cob for canning.



Industries Lassonde inc. acquires Produits Ronald in order to diversify its activities. They enter the area of specialized products by introducing a bouillon for fondue under the Canton brand.



Produits Ronald expands its presence in the specialized products area by introducing a line of fondue sauces (bourguignon, chinese and oriental).



The company adopts the label "La Maison des Fondue" in order to consolidate its reputation in the area of fondue bouillons and sauces. From now on, this new label be convey along with the commercial brand Canton.



Because of a need for space, the company begins construction on a new warehouse that includes three loading docks on its production site (located at 200, St-Joseph street in St-Damase) which will total 40 000 square feet.



The ever-growing success of corn on the cob sales requires the construction of a new manufacturing plant equipped with high performance equipment.



Produits Ronald launches its very first major promotion aimed at consumers. The theme is " Canton ski à Bromont "



Produits Ronald achieves notoriety in the specialized products area and introduces simultaneously on the market, three new Canton fondue bouillons along with six new fondue sauces.



Produits Ronald purchases the assets of the company J-A Ferland. The operations of this company focus on corn on the cob.



Produits Ronald expands its brand portfolio with the addition of Puritan baked beans through the intermediary of the Primo company.



Produits Ronald adds two new flavours of baked beans within the Puritan brand and by doing so, consolidates its presence in this market gap.



The specialized products area takes a new turn with the introduction of Canton marinades and barbecue sauces.



Produits Ronald becomes new owner of the old doors and windows manufacturing plant of the Supervision company in Saint-Damase. This allows Produits Ronald more storage space and to offer warehousing services for dry goods to other companies. This new service will have for name " Entreposage Supervision ".



Produits Ronald shows great innovation by becoming the first subsidiary of Industries Lassonde inc. to create its own Website. This site allows better communication with the clients and better product knowledge by the consumers.



Produits Ronald adopts an all-new format for its line of Canton fondue sauces, which the public will instantly embrace.



Already an established leader in canned corn on the cob, Produits Ronald introduces on the market a format of 20 pieces of corn on the cob.

Produits Ronald launches a new line of dessert fondues in order to complete its fondue line. The company establishes itself once again as a fondue specialist.

A Quebec first! Produits Ronald, principal manufacturer and exporter of corn on the cob in Canada, becomes the first Quebec company to be HACCP recognized in its area.



Produits Ronald purchases the assets of a corn on the cob manufacturer based in Calixa-Lavallée in Quebec : Conserverie Larose Inc.



Produits Ronald adopts a new 990 ml format for Canton fondue bouillons in order to better serve its clientele. Also, for the first time, Produits Ronald processes biological corn on the cob in its plant.
